• Standard series for clamping diameters of 32 mm up to 82 mm
• High true running accuracy ≤ 5 µm
• For tolerances of component clamping diameter IT10
• Pull-back against backstop surface, or optional individually designed backstop pin
• Clamping of very short clamping lenght
• Clamping of interrupted clamping areas (for example key groove)
• No leakage problems because function without hydraulic
• Slots rubberized
• Hand clamping optional possible
Clamping principle
A stack of RINGSPANN clamping discs is placed on a drawbolt. A slotted bush, which is screwed onto a flange, is placed over the top of the drawbolt. When the Mechanical Disc Actuated Bush Clamping Mandrel is actuated, the clamping discs expand in exactly identical manner around the whole circumference, herewith opening out the slotted bush. During that process the slotted bush is shortened, mainly due to conical geometry of the deformation web, causing the clamped component to be pulled back onto the equipment. By adding a centre sleeve, the Mechanical Disc Actuated Bush Clamping Mandrel gets the desired stiffness.
